Kansas Museum of History
Role: Designer
At Dimensional Innovations, I played a key role in the complete redesign of the Kansas Museum of History. The project began with a full demolition and reimagining of the space, followed by the creation of a new floor plan that supported the museum’s narrative goals. I contributed to exhibit concept development, built refined models, produced detailed drawings for engineering, designed user flow for both digital and manual interactives, and developed final graphic artwork. Throughout the process, I partnered with the client to connect design decisions to their storytelling, creating an engaging visitor experience. This was my most comprehensive and longest-running project to date.

Worked with the team to develop the floor plans and layout of the galleries. This included determining the best format and placement of the ramp that elevates the visitor in the center of the space.
Created concept sketches for each exhibit.
Created a comprehensive SketchUp model of the museum. Fly through video rendered in Enscape.
Developed elevation drawings in illustrator. Worked closely with the engineering team to further refine designs while maintaining design intent.
Provided creative direction for graphic art and reviewed/critiqued internal team work. Aided in making text templates for the client to have guidelines for what content needed to be provided per each graphic. The graphics team was largely led by Ian Speath, but I provided support when needed.
